So the first thing to notice is that Tolbert is a pretty effective runner statistically. His role has been more as a blocker and receiving option this year, but he has had a bigger role as a runner in the past like when he played for San Diego.

The Panthers should aim to triple Tolbert’s carries in this game. While he does not have the YPC of Stewart (4.1), he is fairly close. He has not been called on much this season so he should be able to give a game or two like this.

The Panthers have to be willing to use Tolbert in unconventional settings just to keep the Giants off guard.
