22. Right Guard – Frank Garcia (1995-2000)

He did not play right guard. He spent most of his time at center. Yet he did play some left guard early on and thus he gets the nod in this spot. Right tackle will also be fairly interesting to fill as well. It really came down to Garcia vs Matt Campbell. The reason I took Garcia is his experience at center that requires more command of line concepts. Or maybe I listen to Charlotte radio too much.

Campbell was converted by the Panthers from tight end to guard and he made the best of change. He is another personal favorite from the earlier days of Panther football.

Guard is a position where the current Panther team enjoys a good bit of depth. It would not be a big surprise to see Trai Turner or Andrew Norwell in this spot on some future list. The Panthers are in the middle of a big draft Trai Turner to the Pro Bowl effort right now.
