Currently undefeated, first loss would be Big Ten Championship
Conference champ vs not conference champ (if Iowa loses)
Common Opponents: Pitt, Illinois
Clemson > Northwestern

Starting to see that Illinois has something to do with several of these things.

Iowa wins and it is in the playoff. Lose and they are the Big Ten team that the Tar Heels have the easiest time jumping in a head-to-head. North Carolina would have beaten Pitt and Illinois by wider margins than Iowa did. Iowa’s best win is Northwestern. Carolina’s best win would become Clemson.
