The Power Rankings for Week 10 coincides with the first the first release of rankings from the College Football Playoff. How many North Carolina teams made it into that initial ranking of twenty-five? That would be a big zero despite North Carolina being #21 in both polls and Duke having been ranked for the last two weeks before the refs got involved.

Still, this week marks a week of big matchups for the teams in the State. An angry Duke and North Carolina will face off for Coastal Division supremacy. Appalachian State faces an Arkansas State team that is 4-0 in conference play. NC State and East Carolina try to scratch back into their conference races.

The State went 2-5 on the week, a step back from previous weeks.
