The Charlotte 49ers basketball schedule has a local flavor to it this year. New coach Mark Price will be seeing a lot of schools from the states of North and South Carolina to prepare his squad for the upcoming Conference USA season.
The 49ers will be in a year of transition and it will be interesting to see how Price manages old faces and introduces new ones. If Price proves to be a recruiter that will not pay off this season but likely would take a year or two.

Going to Greenville this early in the season is one of those risk/reward things. There is a good chance that the team won’t quite be ready yet and get beat. However if they come out hot early somehow, they should win this one.

This traditional rivalry is currently tilted toward the Wildcats with their recent success in the Atlantic Ten. The 49ers used to play in the Atlantic Ten, before football was a thing. They did not have the same success that Davidson had with it.
