    Polls fortunately do not matter in the final determination of the Playoff Committee. They do matter in public perception leading up to those meetings. It is safe to say that Duke would need to be a top ten team by the end of the season to have a chance. Duke is not ranked at all right now. Going up depends on teams in the lower twenties to lose and Duke to beat quality teams. One can note the lack of those quality teams. The Black Knights and probably the Hokies won’t be game changers. We’ll have to see where Miami is at the end of the month.
