Duke Blue Devils: GT about to Dash Playoff Chances

1. Quality Wins? Where?
Duke’s sudden popularity arises from their defeat two weeks ago of then ranked Georgia Tech. The problem for Duke is that Tech then went and lost to North Carolina the next week. Oh and Georgia Tech plays Clemson this week. There is a good chance the Yellow Jackets will be a four loss squad after Saturday and therefore cease to be a quality win.

Other quality wins in October are also myths. Army is not one by definition. Virginia Tech is dealing with three losses already. Miami lost to Cincinnati, and they would be the closest thing Duke would have to getting a quality opponent in October.
November only offers a trip to Chapel Hill or a date with Pitt to garnish the resume. There is no telling in the ACC Coastal if UNC and Pitt will be quality opponents by that point either. The road to 11-1 for Duke is extremely doable, but that’s the problem there is no resistance.
