4. Triple Option Teams Are Anomalies and Obnoxious

There are five teams in the FBS that rely on option schemes. They are Georgia Tech, Georgia Southern, and the service academies. There is limited time for opponents to get ready week to week against it when hardly anyone else uses it. Then you will never see it again the rest of the year. This makes option teams hard to measure, and it should be no surprise that Navy gave ECU this kind of trouble in their first conference meeting. The ECU defense seemed lost in a way that they were not against Florida. Most teams are like Florida, so do not take the beating against Navy too much to heart.
