Week 4 Amway Coaches Poll: State gains a little ground
The Amway Coaches Poll is out for Week 4 and the love is gone for the Duke Blue Devils. The Blue Devils had been getting fifteen votes consistency from the Coaches Poll but losing to Northwestern did them in. They disappeared from the Other Receiving Votes section.

NC State, on the other hand, gained at Duke’s expense. The Wolfpack went from five votes to fifteen votes of their own. It still remains for State to grab a signal victory. That is looking less likely to be Louisville, but either Clemson or Florida State could provide the head on the wall that State needs to break into the poll itself.
Some observations are very similar to the AP Poll. Georgia Tech fell to 20. Stanford re-entered the poll, which has to be a boon for rising Northwestern. On the other side, the coaches did not let Auburn fall out of the poll.

There are no more little guys in the poll. BYU is out, but still receiving votes. Temple, Memphis, Boise State, Houston, Northern Illinois, and Toledo also got votes. In fact losing teams got more attention this week than when they were not losing.
