In the end, the coach who once edged grass with a fork could not outdo the man responsible for everything Panthers related. Nor do I believe that this result is a surprise to anybody. Many of you probably had Richardson slotted for the Regional championship from the very beginning.

I still don’t think that any player has had the impact on the field that Steve Smith has had. He has done just about everything. He has been master return man. He has been deep threat. He has been slot man. His versatility is why he still plays a big role in the League when his more one dimensional peer Chad Johnson is finishing his career in Canada. Smith and Johnson went to same junior college way back when.
