Rivera Region: 6 Seed Greg Olsen vs 11 Seed Mike Shula
Sixth Seed – Greg Olsen
Olsen’s role has grown every year he has been with the Panthers. This year he was the team’s leading receiver. He is as sure-handed a tight end as you will find in the League. Olsen has been important as Newton’s surest target. He will only become more dangerous as more weapons emerge around him.
Eleventh Seed – Mike Shula
Shula was handed the task of helping Newton acclimate to the NFL game. He was Newton’s quarterbacks coach under Rob Chudzinski. When Chudzinski left for a head coaching job in Cleveland, Shula stepped into the coordinator position and kept the continuity building with Cam. So it is not play calling that puts Shula in this spot, but his role in the development of Newton.
