Fox Region: 8 Seed Dan Morgan vs 9 Seed Jon Beason
Eighth Seed – Dan Morgan
More than twenty tackles in the Super Bowl are Dan Morgan‘s defining achievement. Morgan could never stay healthy and never played a full sixteen game season for the Panthers. He was valued enough that the Panthers kept him and not Witherspoon when it had to choose. A linebacker with reckless abandon who never got to put it all together.
Ninth Seed – Jon Beason
Beason has some things in common with Morgan besides their Miami origins. He too played the middle and he too saw his time with the Panthers cut short by injuries. Beason played four great seasons at the beginning of time with the Panthers, even having a rivalry of sorts with Patrick Willis. The next seasons saw injury. The great what if would be if Beason could have played healthy with Thomas Davis and Luke Kuechly.
