Capers Region 8 Seed John Kasay vs 9 Seed Kevin Greene
Eighth Seed – John Kasay
The original Carolina Panther, John Kasay was the team’s first kicker from Capers all the way to the Fox era. He is the team’s all time leading scorer. He is responsible for the biggest play in Panthers history, the out of bounds kick in Super Bowl XXXVIII. Sure it is the most infamous play as well, but Kasay was a standard in Charlotte for almost the entire existence of the team.
Ninth Seed – Kevin Greene
Greene had already been through productive stints with the LA Rams and Pittsburgh Steelers. Greene came over for the 1996 season and created the Salt and Pepper blitz combo with Lamar Lathon. He had 14.5 sacks that year. After a year with the 49ers, Greene returned for two more double digit sack years before retiring. He had pro wrestler attitude and hair.
