He was instrumental in bringing the franchise to Charlotte and bringing in the various brain trusts that the franchise has had over the years. He is arguably the team’s biggest fan and an influential voice amongst the owners in his own right.

Biakabutuka is here mainly for the potential of what he might have been. His best game was against the Redskins where he had two 60+ touchdown runs. On the one hand, the Panthers could have had Eddie George at this spot. On the other hand, there was a chance that Lawrence Phillips could have fallen to the Panthers. Failure of high picks like Biakabutuka led to downfall of Capers.
