Panthers Schedule: Greg Hardy on Thanksgiving

facebooktwitterreddit

Greg Hardy will most likely be playing the Carolina Panthers this year. The NFL Schedule was released at 8 PM last night and it offered lots and lots of information for fans who may have been missing professional football in a big way. However one of those things was that the Panthers would be playing on Thanksgiving Day at Dallas against the Cowboys and Greg Hardy.

The good news is that both Dallas and the Panthers have designs on the Playoffs. Thanksgiving will be a late season game that might mean a lot for the two teams. There might be seeding or bye weeks at stake.

The other good news is that the Panthers are finally playing on Thanksgiving Day. It took the twentieth anniversary of the franchise to make this happen. Jerry World is a neat place to play too with its big screens.

However it is also game 12 of the season. Even the harshest punishment for Greg Hardy would see him back for week nine. So there will be plenty of buildup for the Panthers-Cowboys game. Perhaps more than it will deserve.

Now let’s be clear, I don’t believe Hardy is especially angry at the Panthers. We have seen none of the signs of resentment that the Vikings are currently having with Adrian Peterson. Maybe he is, but that anger would be misplaced. I just think that the Panthers would prefer to avoid a Pro Bowl caliber pass rusher if you can.

  • Of course a lot of things can change over the course of a season. Injuries to either team might reduce the game to a foot note. However it is more likely that a matchup with Greg Hardy looms. Well, at least we’ll have to organize turkey day around something.

Oh the Panthers schedule is much better than last year, but will touch on that later.
