Friday’s games offer one big Tobacco Road showdown as Wake Forest will face Duke.

Wake Forest and North Carolina are both coming off big performances that saw their teams score more than eighty points. Wake particularly is building some momentum that may make them a quiet threat.

Wake’s biggest weapons against the Syracuse Orange were Dearica Hamby and Amber Campbell who both eclipsed twenty points. Hamby got twenty-three and Campbell scored twenty-one. That allowed Wake to come back from a three point halftime deficit.

North Carolina, on the other hand, relied on a monster performance from Stephanie Mavunga. Mavunga scored twenty-three points and collected sixteen rebounds, offering an anchor for the Tar Heel offense. The Tar Heels simply held the Yellow Jackets off in both halves, turning a ten point halftime lead into a twenty point victory.

Friday’s games are on FoxSportsNet and start at 11:00 AM. There is a break between the second and third games with the late games starting at 6:00 PM.
