After a losing a game that was winnable, the NC State Wolfpack basketball team rebounded with a solid performance against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, one of the expected weaker Atlantic Coast Conference teams this season. Led by senior guard Ralston Turner the team posted a 78-65 victory in both teams’ conference opener. NC State is now 7-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play. Turner had a game high 21 points on 7 of 13 shooting and 2 of 6 from beyond the three. Cat Barber scored 14 points along with Trevor Lacey’s 15 to solidify the scoring output.

RECAP: Purdue Boilermakers vs NC State Wolfpack (December 2, 2014)
The one that got away. In this year’s Wolfpack contribution to the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, NC State fought hard and played well enough to win on the road against a good Purdue team.
In fact, it was the Wolfpack’s FIRST road game of the season and was an overall positive outing. In the end, a few mistakes down the stretch and some inexperience in key possessions cost the Pack a win. Trevor Lacey scored 15 and Kyle Washington came up big as he scored a career-high 17 points and pulled down nine rebounds.
