The NBA 2k15 All North Carolina Tar Heels Team

facebooktwitterreddit

On Thursday, I showed you what a created team with all Duke players would look like in NBA 2K15. Now I will build their natural rival, the all – North Carolina Tar Heels roster. The Tar Heels roster is not going to be as strong because the old guard, Rasheed Wallace, Jerry Stackhouse, and Antawn Jamison are now all retired or otherwise employed. It’s possible that Jamison might be available in the free agents. His ranking must be under 72 based off the list that I am looking at.

More from North Carolina Tar Heels

The best all-North Carolina team was probably NBA Live 2002, where the starting five was Wallace-Jamison-Carter-Michael Jordan- Jeff McInnis.

A better all-North Carolina Team could be had in NBA 2K15 by poaching the historical rosters. There you can add the likes of Michael Jordan, James Worthy, Brad Daugherty, Sam Perkins, and others to fill out the roster that I am going to show you below.

In NBA 2k13, I used to drive teams nuts with Lawson. Seeing him as the highest rated player seems appropriate. Carter continues to find his way in the starting lineup. He may be officially listed at small forward, but whatever. Carter’s avatar still could take anyone off the ball two years ago, but he could certainly shoot it.

This team has pretty good point guard depth at three deep, but lacks a true backup center. I took Davis over Hansbrough because of that defensive gap. It is also why I have Henson so high up the rotation. I took Wright as a starter as a more polished product than Henson. I also took Ellington to add some shooting guard depth.

I did not take PJ Hairston. His rating is a 71, but he did not come to the league from the Heels.
The Duke matchup will be hard for these guys, but they do have an advantage in ball handling over the Devils.

Wake Forest and NC State do not have enough current NBA players to build teams, so I this will be the end of this series.
