9. Kasey Kahne
10. Brad Keselowski
11. Dale Earnhardt Jr
12. Jimmie Johnson
There are two races left before the chase field is cut down to eight. That makes Saturday’s race, the Bank of America 500, extremely important for all of Team Hendrick. It is also crucial for Brad Keselowski if he wants to keep his Chase dreams alive.
If things remained where they currently stand, NASCAR would lose 6 time Champion Jimmie Johnson and fan favorite Dale Earnhardt Jr from the most important and dramatic races of the season. That would surely affect ticket sales and television eyeballs.
The current situation is the result of a series of wrecks in the Kansas Speedway that saw Johnson, Earnhardt, and Keselowski all have to get repairs before returning to the track and all three finished in the thirties and forties, unable to improve their situations with such a large time loss. Kasey Kahne was also hampered by a trip into the wall.

Who has the advantage in Charlotte? Keselowski is the defending champ for the race, but he does not have the best average finish there. That would belong to Jimmie Johnson who has averaged an 11th place finish. Johnson has won in Charlotte on seven occassions.
The setting will probably be least helpful to Dale Earnhardt Jr, who has no wins in Charlotte over the course of thirty races. He will be looking to make something happen to stay alive in the Chase this Saturday.
