Let’s take a quick look back at the weekend that was in FCS football here in North Carolina, with some interesting scores. The game of the weekend was probably the Charlotte 49ers and the Elon Phoenix.

Morehead State Eagles 40, Davidson Wildcats 32

Playing within the Pioneer League, where all the teams are similarly limited by their lack of scholarships almost paid off for the Wildcats. Wildcats quarterback JP Douglas threw for 282 yards and a score. However, Morehead State pulled out to a 40-25 lead late in the fourth. Davidson scored once more, but were denied the onside kick recovery that they needed.
