Duke with Ryan Kelly has been unbeatable…until Maryland changed that in the ACC Tournament giving Duke their first loss with Kelly in their lineup.
It appears that Duke will have it easy…for now. Of course it was said last year they did, but Lehigh sent them packing.
Duke is 27-5 overall and 14-4 in ACC conference play. They swept the North Carolina Tar Heels this season, got revenge on No. 5 Miami, and beat three top-5 ranked teams earlier in the season. They did however suffer an embarrassing defeat against Miami back in January.
However, this team has shown they have Final Four energy and can play like a championship team. They have one of the toughest regional brackets to make it through first though.
So many potential teams could upset them along the way and then they have Louisville, the no. 1 overall seed, to challenge should both make it far enough. ESPN year in and year out always puts Duke on upset alert. Not a good thing to have a reputation of being a team easy to upset.
