The Wildcats are fresh off of a conference tournament championship and are excited, but they haven’t played many games against tough opponents. Marquette will be the toughest opponent they’ve faced all season long.

Davidson is 1-2 against teams that are currently in the NCAA Tournament. Their only win against a fellow tournament team was against Montana, 93-87.

Marquette despite their eight losses, has been one of the best teams in the NCAA this season. They are excellent in field goals and rank thirty-fourth in the nation. They, unlike Davidson, have played against multiple teams also in the tournament. The bulk of their schedule consisted of other “dancing” teams including Butler, Florida, Wisconsin, and Louisville among many others. They are 6-7 against those teams also in the tournament.

In their thirtieth tournament appearance, the Golden Eagles are hoping to find their way into the Final Four and send a message early on.

You can watch the Wildcats play Marquette later this afternoon at 3:00 p.m. on TruTV. Ian Eagle, Jim Spanarkel, and Allie LaForce will be calling the action!
