2014 four-star defensive end Jeremiah Clarke continues to see the offers pour in during his recruitment, and he received a major one yesterday from the West Virginia Mountaineers. The T.C. Williams standout is one of the top ten recruits in the state of Virginia, and the strong-side defensive end is locked in as one of the best 250 recruits in the class overall.

Clarke is currently looking closely at the North Carolina State Wolfpack, North Carolina Tar Heels, Virginia Cavaliers, and Penn State Nittany Lions. He also has offers from WVU, Charlotte, Old Dominion, Maryland, Wake Forest, San Diego State, Toledo, and Temple thus far in his recruitment. Major programs such as Alabama, Arkansas, Michigan, Tennessee, and Miami have shown interest.

The four-star, top 20 SDE is heavily recruited in the state of North Carolina with offers from three teams (UNC, N.C. State, and Wake Forest) and interest from the Duke Blue Devils and East Carolina Pirates. Looking at teams that Clarke has a good shot at getting offers from in the near future, Michigan, Virginia Tech, and Arkansas come to mind.

Offers from Arkansas and Michigan would be huge for the 6’5″, 272 pound recruit, and the Hokies would give Jeremiah Clarke a great in-state offer to add to his growing resume. A good playmaker who notched seven sacks and had a hand in five fumbles last season, Clarke is big on the watch lists in the states of North Carolina and Virginia. He attended junior day at UVA before being offered by Anthony Poindexter and the Cavs, and he had an unofficial visit earlier this month with Maryland.
