Predicted Winner: Georgia Tech

TV/Time: ESPNU, 12 noon

Just twelve hours from now the 2013 Atlantic Coast Conference tournament will begin in Greensboro, North Carolina. No. 8 seed Boston College will take on the No. 9 seed Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

The Eagles finished the regular season 15-16, 7-11 ACC. They had just two significant victories. They defeated Maryland on February 19th 69-58. Just a few weeks later they stunned the surprisingly hot Virginia Cavaliers, 53-52, by just a point.

The Yellow Jackets on the other hand, did finish one spot behind Boston College. Despite the better overall record of 16-14, the Yellow Jackets finished 6-12 in the ACC. They did however upset No. 6 Miami and pulled off a victory against Virginia.

The Eagles have had some strong performances that doesn’t show up in the win columns as a win, but Georgia Tech is the better team. Georgia Tech needs to continue to rely on rebounding the ball and getting Marcus Georges-Hunt in the paint to put up the easy basket.
