It has been seven long months since the North Carolina Tar Heels have heard from one of their top priorities. Offensive tackle Donell Stanley returned to Chapel Hill for a visit this past weekend.

Stanley is a four-star offensive lineman from Latta, South Carolina. He is six feet, four inches tall and weights 327 pounds. He ranks second in the state of South Carolina and six in his position.

Stanley admits that he is a big Tar Heel fan and hopes that his recruiting efforts give him a strong connection with the coaching staff.

Stanley is said to be heavily leaning towards committing to the South Carolina Gamecocks, but Alabama, Clemson, North Carolina, and Ohio State all still have just as good of a chance to land the talented offensive tackle as Steve Spurrier does.

Donell came along with a teammate and family to visit the facilities in Chapel Hill and met with the coaches. Afterwards, he and his gang went over to the Dean Dome and watched the Tar Heels seek revenge on the North Carolina State Wolfpack.

He highlights the basketball game and his conversation with Larry Fedora as his favorite from his trip. Both the staff and player in this situation know how important communication is for each other in the recruiting process.
