According to Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski, the Charlotte Bobcats are looking to send Gerald Henderson packing in return for a first round draft pick.
The former Duke University guard is most famous for his encounter with North Carolina’s Tyler Hansbrough that sent Hansbrough to the locker room with a bloody nose.
Henderson this season is averaging 13.1 points per game, 3.6 rebounds per game and 2.0 assists per game. Those totals are down from last season, but are higher than his career averages. He is in the final year of a $3.1 million contract with Charlotte.
Still, it would be wise of the Bobcats to make a move to land another first round pick.
The Bobcats are struggling this season and need to begin to prepare for next season. There is no chance they will make the playoffs with a 13-40 record so all time and attention needs to be on getting their team ready for next season.
