2014 four-star athlete C.J. Reavis is a top target in the class for two ACC schools in the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Virginia Tech Hokies, and he received another ACC offer yesterday from the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Reavis, who is a star at the safety position for Thomas Dale in Chester, Virginia, has plenty of mutual interest in the in-state Hokies.

Back in September, Reavis took an unofficial visit to Virginia Tech and named them the leaders in his recruitment two weeks later. VT is still in the best position to land the top four-star ATH early on, but the UNC Tar Heels have put themselves in a good position to land Reavis.

The 6’2″, 200 pound speedster also has offers from Maryalnd, Boston College, Virginia, and N.C. State. Duke, LSU, South Carolina, Ohio State, Michigan, and Notre Dame are also interested in Reavis.

Just a few days ago, Virginia Tech sent a coach to check in on their top in-state prize, and Reavis enjoyed a solid junior season that has vaulted him into the top 30 among all athletes in the nation for most recruiting sites. Reavis should be regarded as one of the top 300 prospects in the nation in 2014, and he is undoubtedly one of the top 15 players in state of Virginia. The Hokies would love to land him, but it will be interesting to see what he think of the GT offer. For now, though, VT and UNC look like the two teams standing out to Reavis with VT a significant cut above the Tar Heels.
