Many reports are coming in and reporting that former Florida Gators quarterback Jacoby Brissett has chosen North Carolina State over West Virginia.

He had a few choice words about the NC State athletic office, but barring that as a minor issue, Brissett will be a Wolfpack come this fall. However, he won’t be eligible to play in this coming season. NCAA rules and regulations will keep Brissett on the sidelines in 2013.

When Doeren was hired by State, that meant Brissett immediately had a connection with NCSU. Doeren had previously tried to recruit the young quarterback to Wisconsin.

This is a huge pickup for the Wolfpack with Mike Glennon leaving, which is going to make the quarterback position a huge concentration for Doeren and staff.

The #3 overall dual-threat quarterback throw for 249 yards and a touchdown in the six games he played last season.
