The Wake Forest football team is 2-0 but heading into their first big test of the season with a home game against Boston College. These are the key players to watch that should have the biggest impact on the outcome.

While the Wake Forest football team has only beaten Tulane and Towson, two teams they should win against, the Demon Deacons should feel confident entering their first ACC game of the season.

They entered this season with plenty of questions, primarily around the quarterback position. It is never easy to replace a player like John Wolford and when Kendall Hinton was suspended, it made the situation even murkier.

However, the play of Sam Hartman has been a pleasant surprise as he has been able to run this offense fairly well. He has 620 passing yards, and added an additional 128 rushing yards, with five touchdowns. The concern is certainly the turnovers with three interceptions and one fumble in the first two games. This is something that hopefully improves as he gains more experience.

This week though the focus will be on the Demon Deacons’ defense as they go up against one of the best running backs in the country, AJ Dillon. The focus this week should be slowing him down however that is easier said than done.
