Five schools, including the Duke Blue Devils, are part of Kevin Knox’s final decision. However, in the end there can be only one.

The North Carolina Tar Heels, Duke Blue Devils, and three other schools get their final shots at recruit Kevin Knox over the next two days. Knox’s family will have a whirlwind tour of FSU and Kentucky tomorrow and then North Carolina, Missouri, and Duke on Wednesday.

Each of the schools have their own reasons for making it so far deep into Knox’s recruitment. None of them are thinking that the 6’8” prospect will be on their campuses for more than a year. Many of them are trying to sell him on his own potential star power in their respective systems.

According to Kevin Knox’s father, former Florida State football player Kevin Knox, Sr., Knox can fit any role and star in any system so that line of argument may not get teams very far. All of them know Knox’s NBA ambitions. All of them have more or less success pointing toward getting players into the NBA Draft at high draft picks.

So let’s go through and break down the probable lines of reasoning each school will use. We’ll start at the top of the schedule with Florida State and then finish with the Duke Blue Devils.
