Former NC State Wolfpack star T.J. Warren is injured, much to the chagrin of the Phoenix Suns.

The 2016-17 NBA season started with the re-introduction of TJ Warren. Warren, also known “Tony Buckets,” was having a great season for the Phoenix Suns until he sustained a minor head injury.

Warren is the Suns’ starting small forward. He experienced some discomfort in the Phoenix Suns vs. Indiana Pacers game on November 18. He played for nine minutes, until they took him out of the game.

Warren was the leading scorer (17.7 points per game) until this game. Since his departure, Suns’ guard/forward Devin Booker has become the team’s leading scorer (18.8 points per game).

There is no timetable for Warren’s return. In his absence, the Suns will use a small lineup consisting of Brandon Knight, Eric Bledsoe and Booker in the backcourt.

Once Warren returns to the team, the Phoenix Suns will be at full strength. Currently, they sit in the second-to-last spot in the Western Conference.
