Former Duke Blue Devils wing Dahntay Jones is not in the highest of spirits despite winning the NBA title last season.

Dahntay Jones played for the Cleveland Cavaliers last season. He was a part of their roster when they defeated the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. Shortly after the finals, the Cavaliers waived him so he is a free agent right now.

While many players who have won championships are on the up and up, Dahntay Jones is experiencing a lot of lows right now. Rather, he is missing some highs and lows, in regards to his sneaker collection.

Brace yourself. Jones had 400 pairs of sneaker collection in a storage facility located in Atlanta, Georgia. Allegedly, the sneaker collection included rare unreleased Nike’s and Jordan PE’s. In Jones’ collection of Jordan PE’s were exclusives made for rapper Fat Joe.

TMZ reported

"Jones admitted he was late on his payments, but says it was a simple mix-up that could have been easily corrected without having to unload his sneakers.Jones says his credit card stopped making payments to the facility due to a possible fraud alert (it happens sometimes) … but says he contacted the facility and told them he would come up with the cash (he’s reportedly made $18 mil in the NBA).Jones says the facility went ahead with the sale anyway … and now, he’s out 1/4 of his beloved shoe collection. He’s considering legal action.By the way, Jones says the outstanding bill was LESS THAN $400.As for his ex-kicks … the new owner says he plans to sell them on eBay .. and we’re told they’ll probably fetch a hefty return."

Word to the wise: If you have a sneaker collection, make sure you take care of it. Whoever owns these shoes will make some serious cash selling these shoes.
