Charlotte Hornets at Chicago Bulls Preview

The best win of the Charlotte Hornets season has been their victory over the Chicago Bulls in game number four. Since then the Hornets have had a good Al Jefferson game and a couple bad Al Jefferson games and the Hornets have relied on the bench to reach .500.

Now the Hornets go to Chicago to replay the Bulls. Things will no doubt be different this time around as the Bulls will be looking to make good on their blowout defeat from the last game. The Hornets will be trying to work out the slumps of Jefferson and point guard Kemba Walker. If they fail, then does the Hornets bench have enough stuff to pull out the game once again?

Opponent: Chicago Bulls (5-3)
Date: November 13, 2015
Time: 8:00 PM
TV: None
Venue: United Center (Chicago, IL)

Probable Bulls lineup

C Pau Gasol
PF Nikola Mirotic
SF Doug McDermott
SG Jimmy Butler
PG Derrick Rose

The Bulls did not shoot poorly from the three point line the last time they played Charlotte, they just could not shut down the Charlotte bench. The Bulls are resting Joakim Noah of his injury. Noah will play tonight, but in a reserve role. That could allow Al Jefferson to work his magic on Gasol in the paint.

Butler ran wild against the Hornets in the first game, and should be allowed to do so again if the Bulls are smart. Likewise McDermott had a good showing against the Hornets and now he is in the starting lineup.

Probable Charlotte Hornets Lineup

C Al Jefferson
PF Marvin Williams
SF P.J. Hairston
SG Nicolas Batum
PG Kemba Walker

The last game against the Bulls had the Hornets display their newfound depth. Now they need to demonstrate some perimeter defense to shut down the three point line of the Bulls in case their own shooting does not hold serve from their last experience with the Bulls.

The Hornets will welcome Portland on Sunday.
