No Love for NC in 1st Amway Coaches Poll
The first US Today Amway Coaches Poll for the college football season in 2015 is out. This year’s poll starts out with not much optimism for the state of North Carolina. You will not find one of the now seven FBS schools in the first poll produced by the coaches’ themselves.

Instead you have to dig underneath the poll to those schools that got votes but not enough to get into the big boy section of the poll. If you look down there, you will find Duke with six votes, North Carolina State with three, and North Carolina with two.
This first top twenty-five poll was loaded with Power 5 conference teams. Only Boise State was in the poll from outside that group of conferences. East Carolina rival Central Florida only received one vote in the poll as the only American Athletic Conference member mentioned. Appalachian State rival Georgia Southern got two votes as the only Sun Belt school mentioned in the poll.

Good news for Charlotte 49ers fans too with the Amway Poll. Only the Marshall Thundering Herd and the Kentucky Wildcats collected any AP votes. Moving up to their new spot in Conference USA should be enough challenge for the 49ers this season.
