Former Tar Heel Reggie Bullock has a new NBA address. According to reports by Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Phoenix Suns have sent Bullock, forward Marcus Morris, and small forward Danny Granger to Detroit for future draft picks.

Outside of Bullock this trade does several things. It breaks up the Morris twins in Phoenix. It also sends Granger to a new team for the second time since he signed with the Miami Heat last off season. Detroit, who was wing poor going into the draft, now has an abundance of wing players to work with.

Finally, the Suns have essentially executed a salary dump to allow them to continue their aggressive off season. The Suns re-signed Brandon Knight and acquired center Tyson Chandler. Their next big fish is a lot of people’s big fish, LaMarcus Aldridge.

Morris will be used as a stretch four to give center Andre Drummond more room to maneuver in the post.

As for Bullock, he has now joined his fourth team since last season. The 6’7” wing was never truly healthy for the Clippers and we have never seen his true game emerge. He has promise as a three point shooter and wing defender, which the Pistons do need assistance with.

With the Pistons, Bullock will probably see his time at shooting guard. This has do with Granger also being part of the trade and the Pistons drafting Stanley Johnson in the first round of the draft. Playing two guard will mean backing up Kentavous Caldwell-Pope.

Still, Bullock will be a good fit for the offense going through center Andre Drummond. He can live around the three point line when teams collapse on Drummond.

So we can add Bullock to the list of Tar Heels who got moved this off season. We know Danny Green is staying put, but what is happening with Ed Davis?
