AP Football Poll Week 6: ECU #22

facebooktwitterreddit

It was quiet week in the AP Football Poll for the North Carolina area schools. The East Carolina Pirates moved up a spot to #22 while they were on their bye week. They benefited from South Carolina leaving the poll after their loss to Missouri. The Pirates are still the highest ranked member that is not part of a Power 5 conference.

The Other receiving votes section was busier as both the Duke Blue Devils and North Carolina Tar Heels are no longer to be found there. Instead, one lone AP voter included North Carolina State in their ballot and that is the first appearance of the Wolfpack near the poll this year.
