Luke Kuechly To Drive Pace Car For Sprint All-Star Race

Luke Kuechly has been selected to drive the pace car for the upcoming Sprint Cup All-Star race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 17.

Kuechly, the middle linebacker for the Carolina Panthers, was the 2013 Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year. Kuechly has led the team in tackles for both of his first two seasons since being the team’s first round draft pick (ninth overall) in the 2012 NFL Draft.

He was also the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year

This is the second noteworthy honor for Kuechly in as many weeks. His likeness was recently featured in the first trailer for the Madden 2015 video game.
