UNC Football Recruiting: Quenton Nelson visiting Boston College

facebooktwitterreddit

The Boston College Eaglesare set to host one of the most talented recruits in the nation on an unofficial visit in top 125 overall recruit Quenton Nelson. The offensive lineman from Red Bank, New Jersey is widely rated as one of the best offensive linemen in the country, and the elite prospect can play at either the guard or tackle slots. Well-deserving of his four-star rating by most recruiting services, he is ranked the third-best player in the state of New Jersey by the 247Sports Composite.

Quenton Nelson is high on the North Carolina Tar Heels, Northwestern Wildcats, Penn State Nittany Lions, Stanford Cardinal, and Ohio State Buckeyes. Nelson is a heavily recruited player on a national scale, and the recruiting battle between Ohio State and Penn State will be particularly interesting.

He has also received offers from the Michigan State Spartans, West Virginia Mountaineers, Tennessee Volunteers, Pittsburgh Panthers, Wisconsin Badgers, Temple Owls, Oklahoma Sooners, North Carolina State Wolfpack, Vanderbilt Commodores, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Virginia Cavaliers, UCF Knights, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Boston College Eagles, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Maryland Terrapins, Miami Hurricanes, and Connecticut Huskies.

That is a ridiculous list of offers, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see two major interested teams in Notre Dame and Michigan extend offers to the 6’5″, 285 pound OL prospect.

Nelson already has a vast amount of unofficial visits lined up, as he will check out Ohio State, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Rutgers, and Penn State next. He has plenty of interested programs and is leaving no stone unturned by checking out almost all of them.
