N.C. State Football Recruiting: Joey Brungo to attend Wolfpack Junior Day

Per his 247Sports timeline, 2014 wide receiver Joey Brungo will be visiting the North Carolina State Wolfpack today for Junior Day, and this will be the first visit of his recruitment. Brungo is not a well-known prospect, and the Pennsylvania wideout has yet to be ranked by the major recruiting outlets.

Brungo does not hold any offers, but he has received interest from a long list of schools. N.C. State, the Cincinnati Bearcats, North Carolina Tar Heels, West Virginia Mountaineers, Pittsburgh Panthers, Wisconsin Badgers, Connecticut Huskies, Syracuse Orange, Penn State Nittany Lions, Ohio Bobcats, Northwestern Wildcats, Michigan State Spartans, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Temple Owls, Maryland Terrapins, Kentucky Wildcats, Tennessee Volunteers, Virginia Cavaliers, and Kent State Golden Flashes have all shown interest.

That is a long list of teams interested, and it will be interesting to see when he gets some offers. It is telling that Brungo, who plays in Vandergrift, has interest from the three major in-state teams, and I have a feeling the teams he has the highest chance of receiving offers from are N.C. State and West Virginia.

The 6’2″, 185 pound Kiski Area standout runs a 4.6 forty yard dash and will surely receive some offers in the near future with at least twenty teams interested in him thus far.
