The final AP Top 25 college basketball poll of the regular season was released this morning. The Duke Blue Devils moved up one spot to second place after their demolition of the North Carolina Tar Heels.
Gonzaga remains No. 1 in the country despite Duke making a statement last week in Chapel Hill.
The remainder of the Top 25 is as follows:
- Michigan State
- Ohio State
- Kansas State
- Oklahoma State
- New Mexico
- Saint Louis
- Notre Dame
VCU? Seems that they have slipped into the final rankings of the season yet again this year. Each year they have a slow start, but always finish strong. They’re always a potential threat for the Final Four as a dark horse.
The North Carolina Tar Heels were ranked twenty-sixth last season and were just outside of the rankings last week, but after Duke destroyed them…they won’t be ranked.
North Carolina State still remains outside of the rankings. Once projected to win the ACC this season, the Wolfpack have just disappeared. They’ve been playing stronger in the closing weeks, but the start and middle of the ACC schedule hurt NC State.
