Rumors have been floating around all week that five-star recruit Julius Randle was no longer considering the North Carolina State Wolfpack as a school he would choose. Friday, Randle confirmed that he is no longer considered the Wolfpack as an option for him.

Not only did he eliminate the Wolfpack, but the Oklahoma Sooners are off the table as well. That leaves his choices down to four schools: Kentucky, Florida, Kansas and Texas.

Randle has been leaning heavily towards Texas and Kansas and will more than likely choose one of the two, but don’t count Florida and Kentucky out either. I’m expecting to see Randle in a orange uniform next season playing for the Longhorns.

Randle is one of the most talented recruits college basketball has seen in recent years and he has turned many heads. It was shocking to many North Carolina fans when he quickly cut Duke and the Tar Heels off his list in favor of the Wolfpack.

That shows Mark Gottfriend is definitely changing ways in Raleigh and getting the recruiting back in order for the Wolfpack. However, it just wasn’t meant to be for Randle and North Carolina State.

Randle will announced his decision on March 20th.
