The rookie Hornets guard suffered a broken bone in his his hand. He will miss four-to-six weeks.

This is disappointing news to the team and Rivers. The team was working hard with Rivers to further his development and were hoping to see some development soon.

In his one season with Duke University, he was a key player for the Blue Devils. Their success relied on his success, however it has been a different story for Rivers in the National Basketball Association.

On top of this, it gives his critics more to discuss why he has been a failure in the NBA thus far. Many feel he thinks and talks like a big league players, but doesn’t put the numbers to back that up.

This is a major setback for both Rivers and New Orleans, but they hope progress will continue when he returns from his injury.
