With Free Agency and the Draft coming up quickly, the Carolina Panthers have a few needs they need to address. One of those positions are the defensive backs. With Chris Gamble expected to be released in the nearing weeks and his proneness to injury, it’s time for Carolina to find a solid fit at cornerback.

When Gamble was injured last season, most of his work load was left for Captain Munnerlyn. However, is now a restricted free agent, but one that Carolina needs to resign.

Playing in a division with quarterback like Drew Brees, Matt Ryan and even Josh Freeman when Freeman plays his best, is not an easy feat. Carolina needs to get some good backs on the defensive side of the ball to protect that pass defense and play tough against the leagues best quarterbacks.

Munnerlyn is quick and smart on the field and with the Panthers trying to stay below the cap and lower thier cap for 2013, he fits their profile perftectly. He has good on field performance and is a low cost player to sign.
