Roy Williams seems to have his recruiting powers back and has now landed two of the top fifteen players in the 2014 recruiting class. Point guard Joel Berry committed to the Tar Heels a few weeks and now Justin Jackson has just committed to the Tar Heels.

The five-star small forward is from Spring, Texas. He is six feet, eight inches tall and 185 pounds of pure athleticism.

Jackson’s commitment comes just one day after he made an official to Chapel Hill to see North Carolina basketball play Florida State in a 79-58 victory. Jackson speaks highly of his visit and said he just enjoyed the experience. He knows there is a need for wing players in 2014 with Berry being a guard, so he knows he will be utilized and that was more than likely the factor that led him to choose North Carolina.

Jackson while publicly announcing his decision today, reportedly told Coach Williams yesterday after the game. Roy Williams most recently visited Jackson in his home back in January.

Jackson chooses North Carolina over the likes of Arizona, Ohio State, Texas, and Virginia. The heavy prusuit from assistant coach Steve Robinson has paid dividends for the Tar Heels.

With the 2014 recruiting class beginning to take shape, who else will be wearing Carolina blue come 2014 and the start of the 2013 season this fall? Stay tuned, follow up on Twitter, and like us on Facebook to keep up with UNC Basketball recruiting updates!
