The North Carolina Tar Heels had several top prospects in attendance yesterday for their junior day, and one of them was East Carolina Pirates 2014 target B.J. Hill.

A standout for West Stanly High, Hill is not yet rated by recruiting services but has received plenty of interest from two in-state programs in East Carolina and UNC. The strong-side defensive end from Oakboro has just one offer in his recruitment, but it comes from one of the teams he is high on; ECU.

B.J. Hill is also interested in the UNC Tar Heels and another major in-state program in the North Carolina State Wolfpack. Three other ACC teams in the Clemson Tigers, Virginia Cavaliers, and Virginia Tech Hokies have also shown interest in Hill.

The 6’3″, 240 pound DE prospect also attended junior day with East Carolina in late January, and the Pirates extended an offer towards the talented in-state recruit. Hill will be hoping for the same this weekend after his junior day visit to Chapel Hill, and Hill is certainly no stranger to the UNC campus. He has visited the Tar Heels a whopping five times on unofficial visits, and that’s not including yesterday’s junior day trip or the camp he attended in June.

Hill could rise up recruiting charts with a strong senior season, because he only played in three games as a junior due to injuries. However, he still managed to record 21 tackles last season and 247Sports notes that he runs a 4.70 forty. East Carolina has offered three defensive ends in the 2014 class, and Hill is the one who seems to be the most interested.
