There is no question about the Charlotte Bobcats and their pursuit to get rid of Ben Gordon’s large contract. When the Toronto Raptors heard about this, it opened the doors for them to send Andrea Bargnani to Charlotte in exchange for Ben Gordon.

There is nothing more than rumors regarding the potential trade of Ben Gordon to Toronto in exchange for Andrea Bargnani at this point, but there is still a little over one day left in before the deadline and a deal could be struck if the Bobcats are desperate enough to get rid of Ben Gordon.

Ben Gordon is a talented player, but he isn’t worth the price tag that Charlotte is paying for him right now.

However, sending him to Toronto for Bargnani would be an absolute joke and would only make another case for Charlotte being the laughing stock of the National Basketball Association.

The Bobcats need players that can improve their on-court performance and get them winning games again.

Bargnani does none of that. The forward who has missed 79 games in the last several seasons is a horrible defender and rebounder.

The Bobcats would get more production from Gordon, but with Charlotte not ready to content for wins and the playoffs, his services are best being used elsewhere.

Financially, Bargnani would cost the Bobcats more than Gordon. He has two more years left of a $50 million contract and with him missing a large percentage of games per season via injuries and poor production on court…it’s not worth it.
