Since defeating No.1 Duke back in January it has been a tough month for the North Carolina State Wolfpack. Losing five of their last seven games, NC State needed to come onto their home court and pull of the win. They did just that, but it was after the Virginia Tech Hokies forced an overtime and made crucial mistakes that the Wolfpack would win 90-86.

Scott Wood as always was hot from behind the arc. He scored twenty-two points including shooting six-for-eleven from behind the arc.

Lorenzo Brown scored fifteen points with seven assists and three steals.

With a three point lead the Wolfpack looked to be going to victory when they fouled Erick Green. Green made his first shot, and intentionally missed his second as the Hokies grabbed the rebound and slammed it in to tie the game to send it to overtime.

With 1:45 left in overtime it appeared that Virginia’s momentum was going to hold over and led them to victory. However, sloppy shots and passes falling right into the hands of the Wolfpack, it allowed State to win the game in the end.

For the Hokies, Erick Green represented well with twenty-nine points, eight assists, and two steals.

FINAL SCORE:  North Carolina State 90 – Virginia Tech 86 | Player of the Game: Erick Green
