N.C. State Football Recruiting: Stanton Truitt visiting Wolfpack

The North Carolina State Wolfpack are reportedly bringing in 2014 Monroe Athlete Stanton Truitt for their junior day today, per Truitt’s timeline on 247Sports. The 5’10”, 185 pound recruit from the state of Georgia is not yet rated by recruiting outlets, but Truitt looks intriguing and can play at quarterback or cornerback at the collegiate level.

Currently holding offers from the South Carolina Gamecocks, West Virginia Mountaineers, Arizona State Sun Devils, and Vanderbilt Commodores, Truitt will be hoping for more in the future. Arkansas, N.C. State, Florida, Washington, and Virginia Tech are five major programs with interest in Truitt, who attended a junior day in Seattle with the Washington Huskies last weekend.

Stanton Truitt also took a visit to the Carolinas earlier this month, when he was on an unofficial trip to South Carolina. The ATH from Monroe, GA, however, seems most interested in WVU and had a tweet that showed a lot of excitement announcing the Mountaineers offer on the 6th of February.

This guy is an extremely intriguing prospect, and we’ll keep a close eye on him. West Virginia seems like a team with an early edge in his recruitment, but it’s very early for Truitt and he currently has four major offers under his belt.

The N.C. State Wolfpack have offered five athletes in the 2014 class thus far, with high-end three-star in-state guy Jonathan Lloyd and four-star C.J. Reavis two of the top targets. Braxton Berrios and Jeff Gibson are two in-state prospects who are high on the Pack early on in their recruitments.
