Despite not making an offer, Roy Williams and Steve Robinson have been heavily targeting the services of Mississippi native Devin Booker.

Booker is a six foot, three inch and one-hundred and eighty pound shooting guard in the 2014 recruiting class.

He has been on North Carolina’s radar for many months now but has yet to receiver an offer. With Booker planning a visit to Chapel Hill, maybe this is just what needed to happen for the the young guard to get that offer.

The five-star, nineteenth ranked overall player has received offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Michigan, Mississippi, and Missouri.

His passion for basketball is one of his biggest qualities as a player. He wants to succeed in all aspect of the game and doesn’t quit. He puts forth his best effort every game and isn’t satisfied without knowing he played his best.

Another key to his success on the court is his knowledge. He knows the game better than many players. He can read plays and players and predict their next move.

His feel for the ball comes in handy when he shoots too. Something North Carolina could use. Shot selection hasn’t been a stronghold in Chapel Hill lately and Booker would be a big pick up for the Tar Heels. But without that offer, I don’t see Booker showing much interest.
