2014 Charlotte Catholic high-end four-star running back Elijah Hood is just outside the top 100 list of top recruits in the 2014 class, and he continues to rake in big offers; especially in the ACC. The North Carolina Tar Heels top target received an offer from the Florida State Seminoles, and it will be interesting to see how much interest the Garnet and Gold garners from Hood.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are viewed as the favorites for Hood by several recruiting analysts, but UNC, the Clemson Tigers, and the Ohio State Buckeyes are also heavily in the mix for Hood’s services. Virginia Tech has been taking a hard charge for Hood, and Michigan and Tennessee are also sending coaches to evaluate Hood.

The sixth-best recruit in the state of North Carolina, Brian Kelly and Larry Fedora are geared up for a big recruiting battle. I think these are the two teams with the best shot at landing Hood, and this is a recruitment that has a chance to be one of the most enticing storylines in North Carolina college sports in 2013. Hood is a stand out at both running back and inside linebacker, and his incredible ability at both positions leads the 6’0″, 209 pound ATH to be ranked as one of the top ten athletes in the country in 2014.

Elijah Hood possesses and incredible combination of speed and strength, and that allows him to be extremely dangerous with his cuts. Hood would be a huge catch for the UNC Tar Heels, and Fedora and the staff are doing everything they can to bring the Charlotte Catholic superstar to Chapel Hill.

Duke, South Carolina, N.C. State, Michigan, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, Stanford, and East Carolina have also offered the elite four-star Charlotte recruit.
